Join the Board of Directors

For 70 years, the DuPage Symphony Orchestra – a 501(c)(3) nonprofit organization – has worked to inspire our communities through its commitment to musical excellence, education, and outreach. We invite you to partner with us in uplifting our community through the power of music!

We are actively seeking community members and business associates to join our Board of Directors.

The DSO Board of Directors includes leaders from the nonprofit and for-profit sector who are dedicated to the organization’s core mission. Our board members champion the importance of exceptional board leadership, in recognition of the fact that every organization needs a strong and effective board to fully realize its potential.

In addition to the standard roles and responsibilities of a board member, our board members are active advocates and ambassadors for the organization, and are fully engaged in identifying and securing the financial resources and partnerships necessary for the DSO to advance its mission.

We hope to add to our core group of DSO volunteers.

Our long-range strategic plan serves to increase our educational offerings, enhance donor and sponsor experiences, strengthen our community outreach, and build financial reserves to sustain long-term growth.  These efforts were not possible without the commitment of a strong volunteer network.

Join our Board of Directors:

We hope you will join with us in making a meaningful impact on our communities by supporting the efforts of the Illinois Council of Orchestras 2021 Community Orchestra of the Year.

Please complete the Board of Directors Responsibilities and Board Application and email it to info@dupagesymphony.org along with a copy of your resume.
