Brooke Wiseman is the Retired CEO Emeritus of Blessings in a Backpack.  During her tenure of 8 years, the organization grew dramatically in size and scope feeding 90,000 children across the country every weekend.  Blessings feeds hungry children across the United States by sending a backpack full of food home on the weekends for children who otherwise might go hungry.

Prior to this, Brooke was the CEO of the Girl Scouts of Chicago for 17 years and the Chief Development and Marketing Officer for the YWCA of Metropolitan Chicago for 2 years.

She has her own business New Knowledge Consulting and has taught at Kellogg School of Management, Center for Nonprofit Management at Northwestern University and for Notre Dame University in Nonprofit Executive Education.

Brooke is a Past President of the Union League Club of Chicago and currently serves on the Public Affairs Committee, the Art Committee and the Personnel & Administration Committee.   She is the chair of the Gender Equality Sub Committee.

She is an active member of the Economic Club of Chicago and serves on the reception committee.  Brooke is a member of The Chicago Network and serves on the Nonprofit Membership Committee. She is also a member of the International Women’s Forum and is active on the Engagement Committee.

Brooke is a graduate of Leadership Greater Chicago and Leadership America. She is the recipient of the Albert Nelson Marquis Who’s Who Lifetime Achievement Award and the International Women’s Forum – International Women who Make a Difference Award.

Brooke received her Bachelor’s degree in social work and psychology from Ball State University and her Master’s degree in Communication from Michigan State University.  She has a Certificate in Nonprofit Management from Case Western University.
