November 18 Concert: "Magic of the Magyars"
Rich Hungarian flavors prevail, with Franz Liszt’s Hungarian Rhapsody No. 1, Zoltán Kodaly’s Háry János Suite, and Carl Maria von Weber’s Andante e Rondo ungarese, performed by acclaimed bassoon soloist Eleni Katz. Liszt’s stirring tone poem Les préludes caps the evening.

October 14 Concert: "Echoes of the English Soul"
Concert Artists Guild and Sphinx Competition Winner Gabriel Martins performs Edward Elgar’s deeply moving Cello Concerto of 1919. Two works by Ralph Vaughan Williams – his tuneful Overture to The Wasps and his powerful Symphony No. 9 in E minor – round out the program.
