Denise Axtell

Former Co-owner and Co-founder of D’Kei, Incorporated, a company that designs and sells cording, tassels and trim to manufacturers, fabric stores and interior decorators throughout the United States. Owned this business until 2003. Focus was on designing, buying and selling.

Previous to that was Executive Assistant to the Chairman of the Board of a multi-national industrial chemical manufacturer headquartered in Chicago. When this business was sold in 1979 stayed with the Chairman to handle his bond buying and his family and business affairs.

Has been on the board of the American Parkinson’s Disease Association, past president,
treasurer and club historian (during the 100th year for the club) for West Suburban Dance Club,
the Knolls of Huntington homeowner’s assn. board in several positions during her 25 years
living there. Has also done several years of volunteer work for Moody Bible Institute. Have done
fundraising for St. John’s United Church of Christ in Aurora, Edward’s Foundation to get
Edward’s fitness a Parkinson’s boxing class, Jewelry and boutique manager for the Great
American Yard Sale. Has ushered for the DuPage Symphony Orchestra and still volunteers as
jewelry manager for Our Savior’s Lutheran Church summer mega garage sale, and sells peanuts
for Naperville Kiwanis Club.

Denise is recently widowed, lives in Lisle, II. and is a mother to 3 sons, 6 grandchildren, a
member of Compass Church and is a bridge player.
