First Concert: The DSO at Cantigny Park – Saturday, June 24, 2023, at 7:00 pm

The enchanting Cantigny Park once again provides the backdrop for an unforgettable evening of musical entertainment with “Top o’ the Charts.” The DSO will celebrate the timeless allure of popular music that dominated the charts in the 1940s, 50s, 60s, and beyond. From the Big Band Era to Rock ’n Roll, plus the iconic sounds of The Beach Boys, The Beatles, Simon and Garfunkel, and Motown, this concert will transport listeners through an incredible era of musical creativity.

Admission is free with paid parking: $15 per carload, and free for Cantigny members.

Second Concert: The DSO at Naperville Community Concert Center – Saturday, July 22, 2023, at 7:30 pm

The DSO takes the stage with a program entitled “Strike Up the Band!” This special concert is a tribute to music educator Ron Keller, longtime Music Director of the Naperville Municipal Band since 1966. The evening’s program features familiar overtures, folk songs, Broadway show tunes, and memorable marches.

“The DuPage Symphony is thrilled to honor Ron Keller: a musician who has made a remarkable and enduring contribution to the Naperville arts scene over the past 57 years!” – DSO Music Director Barbara Schubert. Admission is free.

Third Concert: The DSO at Wheaton Memorial Park – Saturday, September 9, 2023, at 7:00 pm

Concluding the Summer Series with “The Sixties: In Sound & On Stage,” this lively performance will pay homage to the captivating sounds of the 60s, intertwined with the iconic artistry of Andy Warhol. Immerse yourself in a selection of chart-topping hits from the 1950s and 60s, along with Broadway medleys and film scores that reflect those turbulent and transformative times. To add an extra dimension, artist Lewis Achenbach will create a vibrant painting on stage during the concert, inspired by Warhol’s distinctive style. Prepare to be transported through time and space with a unique celebration of art and music! Admission is free.

The DuPage Symphony Orchestra is dedicated to bringing the joy of music to the community and continues to inspire audiences with its exceptional performances. Mark your calendars now and join the DSO for an unforgettable musical journey.
