The DSO provides real-life orchestral experiences for area students. We will resume these programs for the Up Close and Personal 2022-2023 Season!

Preludes & Interludes – The Preludes & Interludes Student Musician Series provides a valuable opportunity for chamber ensembles, made up of high school musicians in DuPage County, to perform at DuPage Symphony Orchestra concerts throughout the season.

These short chamber performances take place in the lobby during intermission or prior to various DSO concerts.

Students participating in the Preludes & Interludes program will receive one complimentary ticket to the performance
as well as one complimentary ticket for a guest; additional tickets may be purchased in advance through the General Manager Amber Broderick (abroderick@dupagesymphony.org) or 630-778-1003.
Extra complimentary tickets may be available for music directors or instructors who teach the students.

Young Artists Auditions - The DSO encourages serious study and musical excellence among young musicians through its annual Young Artists Auditions. Each entrant will be evaluated by experienced judges and will receive written comments and suggestions based on their individual performances.

The First Place Winner will appear as a soloist at our March subscription concert and receives a cash prize of $500. Second Place Winner receives a cash prize of $300.
