Dance Mix '25! — Free Summer Concert at Cantigny Park

The DuPage Symphony Orchestra (DSO) invites the community to kick off summer with Dance Mix ’25!, a free outdoor concert at beautiful Cantigny Park on Saturday, June 28, 2025 at 7:00 PM.

This family-friendly performance is a vibrant celebration of dance through music—spanning centuries, cultures, and styles. From elegant ballrooms to village squares, from concert halls to street festivals, Dance Mix ’25! captures the joy of movement and rhythm with music by Berlioz, Bernstein, Chabrier, Strauss, and more. The program features excerpts from Symphonie fantastique, The Three-Cornered Hat, Danzas fantásticas, and other beloved works from ballets, operas, and musicals.

“Our summer concerts are designed to be accessible, exciting, and deeply engaging,” said Maestra Barbara Schubert, Music Director of the DSO. “This year’s program is a joyful exploration of dance in all its forms — and audiences can expect a few surprises, including opportunities to clap along, sway to the beat, and even shout ‘Mambo!’ with us.”

Admission is free with the purchase of a Cantigny parking pass, which can be reserved in advance for convenience.

Attendees are encouraged to pack their cars, bring lawn chairs, blankets, and picnics for a relaxing and fun-filled evening under the stars. Early forecasts call for sunny skies and temperatures in the low 80s.

Subscriber registration for the DSO’s 2025–26 season will be available onsite at the concert, offering attendees the opportunity to lock in best-of-season discounted rates.
