The DSO in Naperville

Strike Up the Band! is the DuPage Symphony Orchestra’s special tribute to Ron Keller, long-time and esteemed Music Director of the Naperville Municipal Band. Many of Ron’s favorite composers will be represented – Johann Strauss, Franz von Suppé, and the legendary John Phillip Sousa – along with works celebrated in both the band world and in the orchestral realm. Howard Hanson’s colorful Merry Mount Suite, Gustav Holst’s ever-popular Second Suite for Military Band, and show tunes from Broadway musicals will fill your evening with unforgettable melodies. Join the DSO as we honor the talented musical visionary who has been on the podium of the Naperville Municipal Band since 1966, and who has contributed so much to the education of young musicians and the enjoyment of Naperville audiences over the decades!
