In conjunction with the North Central College Office of International Programs' continuing study of Globalization, the "electrifying" young cellist Jay Campbell presents Ballad, Dance, and Fantasy by acclaimed Chinese-American composer Chen Yi. The program also features one of the greatest masterpieces of the 20th century: the Suite from Stravinsky's The Firebird, which catapulted the previously unknown composer to international fame. Berlioz’s exuberant Roman Carnival Overture opens the concert with a bang!
